There are various areas of Wales which are popular with property buyers. Some may be found on the coast whilst others are in cities or in rural areas. Popular locations include:

Cardiff - Cardiff is one of the most up and coming cities in the United Kingdom as a whole. This is the capital city of Wales.
Carmarthenshire - here you will find the Brecon Beacons, tranquil farmlands and a variety of charming market towns. Carmarthen Bay is also popular and this is the biggest beach in Wales.
Glamorganshire - Glamorgan is characterised by mountainous valleys to the north and farm land and villages to the south.
Gwynedd - this region is home to the Snowdonia mountain range and impressive ranges of coastline.
Pembrokeshire - this region is a National Park and encompasses some of Wales's most impressive coast lines. Popular locations here include Tenby, Fishguard and Newport.
Swansea - Swansea is one of the most popular cities in the region in which to buy. Residents here can enjoy the Swansea Bay, the Marina and the Maritime Quarter, for example.
The Mumbles - this charming sailing centre is located on the Swansea Bay. It has a traditional pier and lies at the beginning of the Gower Peninsula which is an Area of Outstanding Beauty.
Vale of Neath and Afan - this area is known as 'waterfall' country and is popular with nature lovers, hikers, mountain bikers and walkers.
