Welsh Property Types

As in the rest of the UK you can choose from all kinds of properties if you are thinking of buying in Wales. These range from completely new builds through to ancient and traditional cottages. Popular choices here include:

Houses - houses here come in all sorts of locations from seafront houses through to houses in the centre of towns and cities and houses on new developments on the outskirts of urban areas. Sizes range here from modern one bed-roomed modern houses, through to medium sized bungalows and larger detached houses in rural areas.
Flats/apartments - again you have all kinds of choices here depending on the location where you choose to buy. You can, for example, buy flats in house conversions or in specially built blocks. Apartment conversions are becoming increasingly popular here with many warehouses and factories being turned into lofts and apartments.
Cottages - there are all kinds of cottages available in Wales. Most will be available in villages, on the outskirts of towns, in the country or by the sea.
Smallholdings/farms - Wales is renowned for its farming history and there still exist many opportunities to buy smallholdings and farms. Some farmhouses may also be sold as a residence that comes without farmland.
